What this Informatics year was about

Direct admit to Luddy. Computers execute instructions, not intentions: that stuck in Introduction to Computers and Programming (CSCI-C 200 · CSCI = Computer Science) and stuck. Introduction to Informatics (INFO-I 101 · INFO = Informatics) and Interaction Design Thinking (INFO-I 245) connected systems to people. Spring brought usability, social informatics, and ServeIT (INFO-I 389): first clinic credit, real partners.

Summer finite math (MATH-M 118) closed the year. Teaching energy from high school was still in the room ... I had been a Freshman Experience Leader at Cathedral during the COVID-19 years, so first-year orientation was already a job I knew from the other side. matchaxmoxie craft would keep growing on this twin site.
