Square handoff

Steps

1. Open the Square Point of Sale app on the register and sign in. The owner can also open the account at squareup.com.
2. On the checkout screen, tap the items in the sale. If an item is not on the screen, enter the amount.
3. Tap Charge.
4. The customer taps, inserts, or swipes the card. Wait until the screen shows the payment went through.
5. On the receipt screen, they can enter an email or a phone number. Tap Send. Print if a printer is connected. They can also skip the receipt.

Button names move a little between devices. If a label is not on your screen, stay with the sale, the Pay or Charge button, and the receipt choices.

Write this down

• The email that owns the Square account.
• The location name on the register.
• Who to ask if the app will not sign in.
• Do not write the password on this page.
