Squarespace handoff

All handoffs

This page is for the person who will update the live Squarespace site after the builder leaves.

Handoff means you can sign in, change a page, and save without the builder sitting there.

Same stuck moment that turns into a support ticket. Short steps and a video so you do not have to ping the builder.

Steps

  1. Sign in at squarespace.com with the email that owns the site.
  2. Open the site. Pages live in the Pages list, usually on the left.
  3. Click the page, then click Edit.
  4. Click the text and type the new words.
  5. Click the picture, then choose Replace, and upload the new file.
  6. Click Done, then Save. On a site that is already public, Save updates the live page. If the page is still a draft, use Publish.

Button names move a little between editor versions. If a label is not on your screen, stay in the same places: the page list, the text, the picture, and the button that saves or publishes.
